“Full spectrum” oils contain a wide range of cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids. True “broad spectrum” oils are full spectrum oils that have had the THC removed using chemistry processes. Broad spectrum products are close to full spectrum products but they cannot be full spectrum because THC has been taken out.
You may hear people refer to the “entourage effect” when discussing the pros and cons of Full Spectrum Products vs Broad Spectrum. This is the name given to the concept that cannabinoids work better in formulation with other cannabinoids (i.e. greater impact) found in Full Spectrum products. While there is ample anecdotal evidence to support this concept (and we agree with it), we are not able to direct you to any legitimate scientific support for these claims (largely due to government restrictions on research).
